Default +0 xp to +1 xp in pre-searing

+0 xp to +1 xp for killing 5 or more level lower mobs, that is.

I think this would be a nice incentive and a reward for perma-pre charachters who do not want to grind or death level, but just slowly(VERY VERY slowly) reach lvl20 and LDoA simply by playing the game.

It would still take over 100,000 kills to go from lvl10 to lvl 20, so it would take a lot longer than death leveling, but it would give people who don't wanna afk death level and just play the game an alternative, slower but active, way of reaching LDoA, without diminishing the acomplishment of current LDoA title holders.

Death leveling would still be the preferred way to quickly go for the title, but now there would be a reward for those chars who spend a lot of time in pre-sear.

If it's a problem adding +1 xp just in pre-sear I doubt it would disturb post much either, as the reward is minimal (you would need 15,000 low level kills just for one skill point).

To Be Honest i think all creatures should give atleast 1xp minimum, there no incentive to go back and help friends with lower tier missions/quests, atleast this way u get a small amount of Xp and a small amount of money from drops.

Would be great. It "encourages" people to do some active title earning than passive. But honestly I highly doubt that ANet will do something like that. Well you know, they "already have done much good to the pre searing by adding Charr Bags and Charr Salvage Kits" . But the idea itself is gooood

I think they should never have added another super ridiculous title like Legendary Defender of Ascalon and even promote it with certain items.

The idea is not bad, but the whole concept of perma-presearing is horrible in my opinion. Sorry for that.

I hope GWEN addresses the love for presearing and what makes it appeal to players... the multiple entrances and exits of the catacombs to other explorables are still unique, Bahdok Cavern is closest to it, not even Sorrow's Furnace features this kind of dungeon.

And the lush bunnyland flavor of course. Charr Homeland, here we come.

Well if you want to make experience the incentive to pre-searing and then not give enough to make it worth a player's while to go through pre-searing over doing things the normal way, it's not really incentive.

If you want to do pre-searing, it's available. It isn't that you don't gain anything by doing it either. The missions give exp which you wouldn't get if you skipped a big part of pre-searing. Besides, I think you're missing the point. Pre-searing is a tutorial on how to play the game. If you want to redo the tutorial every character, you're welcome, but if you want to skip it, pre-searing isn't very hard to pass through quickly.

At that point, you'd be talking about adding +1 xp vs monsters on the monestary island of Cantha for balance. It's fine as it is.

Currently, the minimun cap is 16 exp. If th enemy would give less exp, you get 0, that is, at level 20, you get exp only from level 15 enmies or higher:

Experience table

What should be changed is to change the '0s' to '1s'.

So the less you can get is 1xp.

Then, make the LDoA an the survivor self-exclusive by code and done.

Either that, or an "elite quest" in Northlands spawning a group of level 14 charrs. You have to defend the gates from theese, and they're not that easy to kill. But it would give meaning to "Defending" Ascalon.

Any changes needed to happen when this title was introduced. Having a char thats worked through all the disconnects etc to lvl 19+, the last thing I want to be told is to start again so I can get survivor too.

So a Legendary Defender of Ascalon can be someone who kills near 140,000 Aloe Seeds or River Skales just outside Ascalon and never seeing a single Charr? Crazy thing!
(i know technically it can be done now aswell by d/l'ing some moa bird, but it shouldn't matter here)

Wouldn't putting a single level 14 Charr boss somewhere in pre be a more elegant solution? (and make him hard to kill, good skillbar so he can't be quickly soloed)

I'm all for making the title obtainable without deathlevelling, but it should remain very hard to get and time consuming.

Hm... you are right. I forgot.

The 0xp appears after 5 levels.

That is, if you are level 16, you'll get 0 XP from level 10 and down.
If you make it so the 0 XP is from 10 levels down, and the 1XP is from 5 levels down, you'll get what you want:

You'll be ONLY able to get to level 20 by killing the only Level 10 enemies in Presearing, that is, the 4 Charr bosses.
Being bosses they'll give double XP, so, you'll get 8 XP per run.

- 5 levels less than you: 1XP.
- 10 levels less thanyou: 0XP.

Hm... that should work...

I'm forced to agree, I really can't imagine what the point of that was supposed to be. Why introduce a title that can only be gained by taking advantage of what is for all practical purposes a game exploit (and an incredibly boring and repetitive one at that)?

I lean towards saying /signed to the suggestion, but really they should simply never have created this situation in the first place.
